Hand-picked fruit, indigenous yeast fermented in seasoned barriques to 13.5% alc. and 3.7 g/L rs, the wine aged on less with a small portion undergoing MLF. Brilliant straw-yellow colour with golden hues, paler on rim. The bouquet is full with good volume, depth and presence, showing clear aromas of stonefruits and tropical fruit elements with herbs, minerals and nutty-smoky barrel nuances. Dry to taste and full-bodied, flavours of yellow stonefruits and nectarines enhanced by subtle herb notes form a weighty core with richness and rounded textures. Good acidity and subtle alcoholic power drives the lively palate line to a solid and fulsome finish with long, lively flavours of exotic stonefruits, minerals and smoke. This is a full, weighty Albarino with interesting wood nuances and a lively mouthfeel. Match with a variety of seafood and poultry dishes over the next 3-4 years.
